Former City of Penrith RSL sub-Branch Vice President John Fenton was recognised in the Mayoral Minutes for his outstanding work supporting thousands of veterans over a 38-year period as a Level 3 Advocate in the Nepean / Blue Mountains Area.

Penrith City Mayor Todd Carney presented the Minutes to Mr Fenton’s son, Michael, and former sub-Branch President Brian Cartwright in Chambers last Friday.

Mr Fenton’s final appearance for the sub-Branch was at this year’s International Women’s Day at Memory Park, Penrith, where the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency, the Honourable Margaret Beazley KC AC, presented him with a service quilt.
