THE Rotary Club of Penrith gathered this week to celebrate a successful year of service and community achievement. It was a wonderful occasion defined by genuine fellowship and the enduring spirit of friendship that characterises the club.

In true Rotary fashion, the evening served as a reminder of the core principle of “service above self.” The sentiment remained clear throughout the night: the focus of Rotary is never on personal gain, but rather on how members can collectively support and uplift others.

The event was held at the Lakeside Restaurant, where Vince and his team provided exceptional service and a superb meal, ensuring the evening was a memorable success for all in attendance.

The club was honoured to welcome Karen McKeown MP, alongside several Past Presidents and District Governors. A highlight of the ceremony was the induction of President Joh Dickens for a further year by Past District Governor Susan Wakefield.

As the club looks to the future, members extend their congratulations to President Joh and her committee, wishing them a productive year ahead.
