Jess Fox OAM – Gold in WK1.

JESS Fox OAM continued her dream comeback season on the weekend, winning her second Women’s K1 gold medal of the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup series at the venue where she won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Following her outstanding 2026 World Championships results in Oklahoma City, where she won three gold medals, including her fifth WK1 World Championship title, Jess continued to show her dominance in this discipline.

After finishing as the fastest qualifier in the heats, Jess kept cool under pressure as the last paddler to go down the rapids in the Final. Despite incurring a two-second penalty in the race, Jess finished 0.73 seconds ahead of Eliska Mintalova (SVK) in second and Klaudia Zwolinska (POL) in third.

“I have great memories here in Paris. It’s always a pleasure to race here with the amazing crowd,” Jess said.

“The course was hard. It was very challenging, very physical – I’m still out of breath. I gave it everything and I’m so happy to take the win today.”

Noemie Fox OAM was narrowly pipped for a podium spot in the WK1 Final, with a two-second time penalty leaving her in fifth, just 0.01 out of the medals.

Aussie Lucien Delfour paddled back into form in the Men’s K1 event, finishing 10th in the Final.

Noemie and Jess also both qualified for the Women’s C1 Final but could not catch the leading paddlers, finishing eighth and 11th respectively.
