STUART Ayres MP, Member for Penrith has announced that Westfield Penrith in conjunction with CBD businesses will host ‘ICONIC’ a four-day festival in the Penrith CBD.
The NSW Government launched the CBD Revitalisation Program to encourage people to get back into CBD’s across Greater Sydney to boost the state’s economic activity and ICONIC is made possible with a grant through Round Three of the program.
Stuart Ayres said “This is about bringing Penrith CBD’s best spaces to life, supporting local businesses and getting jobs back for our creative industries. Penrith has plenty of amazing businesses and with the support of the NSW Government CBD Revitalisation Program we will be getting more people back through their doors and putting a smile on people’s faces with some wonderful experiences.”
ICONIC Penrith has a variety of events over the four-day festival which runs from 22 September until 25 September.
Michael Rodrigues, 24 Hour Economy Commissioner said “This activation brings Penrith to life as a space for community, local performers, creatives, and businesses to combine and create something really unique for this area.
After a tough time for retail, hospitality and live performers, it’s an opportunity to revitalise the Penrith CBD and fast-track local business recovery.”
ICONIC is a celebration of everything that makes Penrith special. Spread through the Penrith CBD, catering for all ages through targeted programming. Watch live art, join in the fun, cheer on your hometown team, grab a drink or bite to eat, and enjoy an overnight stay – all in the Penrith CBD.
