A COMMUNITY fundraiser celebrating the art of pottery has delivered a record result for Junction 142, with $25,301 raised through this year’s Empty Bowls event.

The funds were officially handed over to Junction 142’s John Cox on Wednesday night by the Blue Mountains Clay Collective, with board members and volunteers from both organisations on hand to celebrate the achievement.

Held in July, Empty Bowls brought together potters, businesses and community members in support of the important services provided by Junction 142.

Blue Mountains Clay Collective president Linda Kemp said the response from the pottery community had been overwhelming, with almost 400 handmade bowls donated by local and Sydney-based potters.

Local businesses also threw their support behind the event, donating raffle prizes and 186 auction items.

Among the auction offerings were hotel accommodation, restaurant vouchers and artworks, helping to generate vital funds for Junction 142.

Ms Kemp said the fundraising result was a testament to the generosity of everyone involved.

The proceeds will go directly towards Junction 142 and its services supporting people in the local community.

The successful 2026 event has once again demonstrated how creativity, generosity and community spirit can come together to make a meaningful difference.
