Fighting hunger one bowl at a time

Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalised by artists and art organisations on a community level.  The money raised is donated to soup kitchens, food banks and other organisations fighting hunger locally.

Originating in the United States, the grass roots movement has become an international phenomenon.

Blue Mountains Clay Collective Inc is getting things moving locally; they are holding their Inaugural Empty Bowls fundraising event on Saturday 14th September at Junction 142 in Katoomba,  Details of the event and how to purchase tickets will published next month, so look out for the announcement in a June edition.

There will be live music, a silent auction, and several raffles with amazing prizes ranging from dinner for 2 at a Blue Mountains restaurant to a luxury getaway in one of the Blue Mountains top hotels.
