Classroom to Construction: Chloe at Penrith Stadium

JOHN Holland had the pleasure of welcoming Chloe Maclean, a Year 10 student from CathWest Innovation College into the Penrith Stadium team, and what a week it’s been!

“This local college is helping students build the skills they need to succeed and truly puts students in the driver’s seat of their future. CathWest Innovation College, based in Emu Plains is all about developing real world skills for success, and Chloe is already proving she’s well on her way, up and ready to go for her 5:15am daily pickup,” a spokesperson for John Holland said.

“Last week, Chloe worked alongside the John Holland team on the eastern grandstand, under the guidance of foreman Adam Ryan.

“From day one, Chloe took on every challenge with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a natural skill that’s been hard to miss. In just a short time, she’s picked up valuable hands-on experience and built confidence in a live construction environment, something you can’t teach in a classroom alone.

“But beyond the skills, it’s Chloe’s work ethic and enthusiasm that have left a lasting impression. She’s asked questions, tackled new tasks head-on, and become a valued member of the crew in no time.

“What makes this even more impressive? Alongside her work experience, Chloe also managed to balance two part-time jobs showing a level of commitment, discipline and drive well beyond her years.

“We’re proud to support students like Chloe as they explore pathways into the industry, and even prouder to see the next generation stepping forward with such drive and potential.

“Great work, Chloe, this is just the beginning! We look forward to welcoming you back throughout the year.”
